For staying hydrated in the summer heat

Summer is the best time of year to enjoy the outdoors & doing activities outside, but it's important to keep in mind the importance of staying hydrated in these warmer months.

We all know that water is the best thing to drink to stay hydrated & keep you cool. If you are doing exercise or spending a long time in the sun, it's even more important to consume water. In the NHS' Eatwell Guide, it is recommended that we drink 6 to 8 glasses a day (which is about 1.2 litres).

One great tip for drinking enough water is to use a reusable water bottle. Reusable bottles promote better hydration as carrying them with you can encourage you to drink more. Plus you can keep refilling them with tap water for free whenever they are empty.
